Program Description:
The Patient Care Technician Program is designed to help the students develop the necessary theoretical and clinical skills such as: patient care, phlebotomy, communication and clerical skills, electrocardiography and CPR, anatomy and physiology and medical terminology, and physical and occupational therapy skills to enable them to work in different settings such as: hospitals, clinics, urgent care facilities, nursing homes, and rehabilitation centers.

Program Objectives:
The purpose of this program is to cross trained students to prepare them for employment in both acute and long term care facilities. Upon successful completion of this program and the passing of the Florida state examination, if it is required, students will be qualified to work as home health aide, nursing assistant, patient care technician, EKG aide, and phlebotomist.

Progress Requirements for Graduation
Currently, we only offer diploma programs. Students are required to earn at least a C for every attempted course to pass them. In addition, they have to maintain an average cumulative GPA of at least C throughout their course of study to successfully complete their program.
