Program Description:
The Pharmacy Technician Program is designed to help the students master the necessary skills such as: metric system, medical terminology, pharmaceutical compounding, sterile techniques, receiving and handling hazardous materials, prescription labeling and pricing, IV preparation and data processing to enable them to work in the pharmaceutical field.
Program Objectives:
The purpose of this program is to prepare students for entry level positions in the pharmaceutical industry. Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to submit their diploma and their criminal background check to the Florida Board of Pharmacy to become a registered pharmacy technician.
Progress Requirements for Graduation
Currently, we only offer diploma programs. Students are required to earn at least a C for every attempted course to pass them. In addition, they have to maintain an average cumulative GPA of at least C throughout their course of study to successfully complete their program.
